Career Timeline
Twenty-five years of building rooms that made people feel something, calm above the waterline, frantic below, perfecting the art of controlled chaos.
Warehouses at two in the morning. Penthouses in Mayfair. Private rooms behind unmarked doors. Store openings on three continents and six years at sea, looking after people whose lives most of us will never see the inside of. Fashion, music, sport, brands, and private work for families I still won’t name.
I lived out of a bag for a lot of it. Airports, load-ins, sixteen hour days, then straight onto the next one. There were seasons where I couldn’t have told you what city I’d wake up in. And it was a life. I’m not going to pretend otherwise. I saw a lot of the world doing a job I loved, with people I’d still get into a room with tomorrow.
But the person underneath all of it never really changed. I read the room, the faces, could see the details, see what’s happening before it eventuated. I held my nerve. I made it look & feel effortless to everyone standing in it. Nobody in the room ever knew what it took, and that was the whole point. I got really good at it, I just never worked out how to switch it off. Until recently.
I operated in rooms where, if something went wrong, it went wrong in front of thousands of people worldwide. On the outside, cool and accomplished, on the inside, stressed & running on empty.
